Welcome to the Kitchen Garden at Meldon Park, which is found in the centre of the Meldon Park Estate.
We hope you enjoy visiting us as we reinvest into this wonderful space. The plan is to restore and breathe new life into the wonderful garden, whether it is structural i.e. restoring the surrounding wall, paths and cold frames or planting a new orchard, new rhoddendrons and exciting new herbs and plants. Maybe even a companion for our friendly dragon. We see this as an on-going project which we hope you will enjoy being part of and revisiting the gardens to witness the changes.
The Kitchen Garden at Meldon Park is an important part of the jigsaw for the continued development of the Meldon Park Estate. It is our aim to work with and strengthen the Meldon Park Estate community, developing a sustainable and robust business which can be passed on to the next generation whilst meeting the changing needs of our community.
We are not a museum we are an actual working and living family home where all the normal family day to day occurrences happen. In amongst all the work and business it is vital we have some playtime to enjoy living in this wonderful place. This would not be possible without the loyal and hardworking team we have working with us and are extremely grateful for all their support, without which all this would not be possible.
Whats the best thing about going away...coming home!
